Dog Face Drawing in Pencil
In this 4-step guide we’ll sketch a charming dog face using only pencil. Follow along as we build from simple guidelines to finished fur details.
Step 1: Basic Head Shape
Draw a rounded oval for the head. Add a vertical line down the center and a horizontal line across the middle as guidelines.
Step 2: Ears and Snout
Add large floppy ears on both sides. Outline the snout with two curved lines that meet at a small point for the nose area.
Step 3: Eyes, Nose, and Mouth
Place round eyes on the horizontal guideline. Draw a rounded nose at the snout tip, then add the mouth and chin below.
Step 4: Fur, Details, and Shading
Use short pencil strokes for fur texture around the head and ears. Detail the eyes with pupils and highlights, shade the nose, and add whiskers.
