Cat Tutorial 🎃
Step 1: Basic Geometric Shapes
Begin by sketching a large circle for the head and an elongated oval for the body. Keep your pencil lines very light and loose for this foundational stage.
Step 2: Ears and Tail Outline
Add two simple triangles on top of the head to form the ears. Next, draw a smooth, curved line pointing upward from the back of the oval to represent the tail.
Step 3: The Witch Hat
Let’s draw a classic, pointy witch hat resting right on the crown of the head. Use straight, clear lines to shape the wide brim and the tall, slanted cone.
Step 4: Face Features
Place cute, round eyes inside the circle along with a tiny triangular nose and a smiling mouth. These simple details instantly bring our character’s face to life.
Step 5: Paws Sketch
Add basic small ovals at the lower part of the body to create the paws. Make sure they rest flat on the bottom edge so our feline looks balanced on the ground.
Step 6: Fun Details
Now we add personality by sketching thin whiskers, a little buckle on the hat, and a few tufts of fur. These small pencil marks add so much charm to the drawing.
Step 7: Erasing Guidelines
Carefully rub out all the overlapping construction lines from the earlier stages. You want a crisp, clean white background to make your final lines stand out.
