Your Quick Cartoon Cat Lesson
Step 1: The Base Circle
Let’s start by sketching a large, light circle in the middle of our paper for the head. This simple shape serves as the foundation for our entire drawing.
Step 2: Triangular Ears
We together will add two triangles at the top of the circle to create the ears. Make sure they are pointing upwards and spaced evenly apart.
Step 3: Small Round Nose
Place a tiny, round nose right in the center of the face. This small detail helps us position the eyes and mouth correctly.
Step 4: Friendly Round Eyes
Now we draw two circles above the nose for the eyes. Keeping them round and simple makes our cat look very friendly and cute.
Step 5: Happy Mouth and Cheeks
Let’s draw a curved line shaped like a sideways “3” starting from the bottom of the nose. This creates a sweet smile and puffy cheeks for our character.
Step 6: Long Whiskers
Add three long, straight lines on each side of the face. These quick strokes instantly make our drawing look like a real cat.
Step 7: Pupillary Details
We will add small dots inside the eyes for pupils and a line inside each ear for depth. These tiny touches bring a lot of life to the sketch.
Step 8: Final Outlines and Color
Finish your work by darkening the final lines and adding some bright, flat colors. Your wonderful cartoon cat is ready to show off!
